Homoeopathy
Homoeopathy
*Homoeopathy is a system of dynamic medicine, which uses specially prepared remedies given with the intention of stimulating and supporting your body's own ability to restore itself to balance and health.
*Homoeopathy is holistic in the way that it views each person as unique. We all experience illness, stress, life concerns and changes in different ways. Any symptom - physical, emotional, mental or spiritual- can be significant in illustrating your individual state of health and well-being.
*Homoeopathy is a safe, gentle and effective method of healing stemming from two hundred years of observation, experiment and direct experience.
*Homoeopathic remedies are non-toxic and so ideal to use during pregnancy, while breastfeeding and for babies and children.
*Remedies come from a vast range of sources from nature and the world around us. They are prescribed according to clear principles and philosophy. One of the fundamental principles is known as “Like cures like” that is, a substance which causes particular affects when taken in a large dose, can be used in smaller, more dilute, amounts to address a similar pattern of symptoms which you are experiencing.
What to expect from a consultation:
I will be interested in hearing what you would like help with, and then build up an in-depth picture of what symptoms you have and how you, uniquely, experience and respond to them. Initial appointments are usually up to 2 hours long which gives time and space to properly begin explore your health and well-being.
After each consultation I will work to find a remedy which I believe best suits you as an individual and encompasses the symptoms you describe.
Remedies are prescribed with the intention of giving a stimulus to your system to regain balance and health.
Homoeopathic remedies are prescribed for you as an individual, not for named conditions.
Remedies are given as a single tablet, pillules, or a liquid with clear instructions on how and when to take them.
Follow-up sessions are usually arranged at 3 – 6 week intervals. These are a chance to assess how you have responded to your remedy. Timing of follow-ups will depend on what seems most appropriate for you individually.
Please do contact me to book an appointment, to ask any questions regarding homoeopathy for yourself or your family or if you would like to receive information about workshops
