Holistic Life Coaching
Holistic Life Coaching
Life coaching is not telling a client how to change their lives. It is instead a process of helping a client to find new directions, ideas, perceptions and behaviours, and then helping them to achieve those goals. In holistic life coaching methods are often drawn from psychotherapy, counselling and NLP in order to assist the client in dealing with blocks, or achieving change.
Stuart began as a therapist in 1993 after completing professional psychoanalysis, hypnotherapy and counselling training post graduation with a BSc in IIT specialising in Human Resource Management, Logistics and Business Studies. He then completed an NVQ Level 4 in Training and Development including coaching units. Since then he has completed ASET Level 3 Lifeskills Coaching and written a range of coaching based courses accredited at levels 4 and 5. He has also completed psychology courses at undergraduate and post graduate levels.
Holistic life coaching looks at your overall presentation, right now, looks at the factors that have caused or contributed to the present, and finds ways of moving you forward to appropriate outcomes. It is an empowering process and often includes elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, analysis and counselling. Stuart often combines elements of eastern psychology such as mindfulness, Naikan and Morita.
As well as general issues, Stuart specialises in managing anger, depression and Bipolar, as well as the effects of NEAD and Dyslexia related stress. He works with couples and individuals and is experienced in working with persons of most sexual preferences without discrimination but recognising subtle differences in presentation.
Stuart is a SHTC and CTHA registered complementary therapist and life coach.
Sessions are available at The Healthy Life Centre, and more information can be read about Stuart's service at www.scotlandcoaching.co.uk
