Clare is originally from North Yorkshire andI grew up on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. She moved to Scotland six years ago, with her husband who was born in the area.
The birth of Clare's first child in 2006 involved a lot of medical intervention and left her anxious prior to the birth of her second child. Having studied as a Hypnotherapist, she used elements of hypnotherapy to help in preparation for the birth and during labour and this helped her tremendously. She became very interested in how Hypnotherapy can help couples throughout the whole reproductive experience and started to study more deeply into more comprehensive approaches to pregnancy and childbirth.
After examining the options carefully Clare came to the conclusion that the “Mongan method” is by far the most comprehensive and supportive methodology which a couple can participate in. Her experience studying as a HypnoBirthing® practitioner has completely affirmed this belief and I she is delighted to be able to bring this experience to prospective mothers and their partners in Edinburgh, West Lothian and the surrounding area.
Clare is continuing to pursue further study into how Hypnotherapy can assist the whole reproductive process from pre-conception to post natal support and care. Her personal ambition is to make the experience which couples have when they bring their children into the world as natural and comfortable as possible.

Qualiications:
- Certified Hypnobirthing Practitioner with the HypnoBirthing® Institute
- Diploma in Clinical and Advanced Hypnosis from the UK Academy of Therapeutic Arts and Sciences.
- Licentiate Member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy
- Registered for Hypnotherapy with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
- Certified Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming [often referred to as NLP]
